Ellison Medical Foundation

The Ellison Medical Foundation (EMF) was founded by Larry Ellison, founder and CEO of Oracle Corporation. The Foundation’s core mission is to support basic biomedical research on aging relevant to understanding lifespan development processes and age-related diseases and disabilities. In particular, the Foundation has always wished to stimulate new, creative, work that might not be funded by traditional sources or that is often under-funded (mainly in the U.S). From time to time however, the Foundation has made exploratory awards to provide opportunities for advancement in other areas such as education. The EMF has funded the growth and development of Reach to Teach since 2008. Without Larry Ellison and the Foundation’s support we would not have been able to achieve our mission and provide thousands of children with an education they would not otherwise receive.
We would like to extend are greatest thanks to the team at EMF, in particular to Dr Richard Sprott, the Executive Director and Dr Kevin Lee, the Deputy Executive Director for their guidance, advice and patience. We have also enjoyed working with them enormously.
